Head of Group Business Control

We are now looking for our next Head of Group Business Control. As a Head of Group Business Control you will be responsible for further developing and improving the company’s reporting, analysis, and planning functions. You will lead the budgeting and forecasting process, as well as working close to the operations in business cases and provide strategic financial and commercial guidance to the executive team. You will have personnel responsibility over two colleagues, providing you with the opportunity to grow as a leader. You will report to Group CFO, the role is based at Sambla Group’s HQ, in central Stockholm.
Main responsibilities:
- Own management reporting (weekly/monthly), tracking both financial and non-financial metrics
- Lead the groups yearly budget, forecast and business plan
- Examining and interpreting commercial and operational data to drive meaningful insights for business development and develop business cases
- Prepare material for and present in Board and management meetings
- Coach, lead and develop your team members (currently 2 FTE’s)
- Lead and engage in team outputs, e.g., estimates, profitability analysis, operational analysis, and other ad-hoc analysis
- Involved in potential M&A-activities
Desired profile:
- Several years of experience as a Business Controller in a fast-paced environment
- Strong skills in planning tools, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- High comfort level working with large datasets and Business Intelligence (BI) systems
- Proven leadership experience, having supported and coached others as a manager or team leader
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
- Experience from management consulting or M&A projects, is meritorious
- A strong personal drive and excellent organizational skills
- Exceptional finance-based analytical ability combined with a hands-on, pragmatic mindset
- A genuine ambition to contribute to an ambitious Private Equity journey
